Buying a Salvaged Vehicle the Right Way

It is very important to know exactly what you’re getting into when purchasing a salvaged vehicle, luckily, you have Northern Nevada Auto Wrecking Group on your side.

At NNAWG, we will guide you through the main (and most important) steps in purchasing a salvage title vehicle. But first, what is considered a salvaged title vehicle?

If a vehicle is considered totaled, or when the costs of the repair exceed the worth of the car, the vehicle is then given a salvaged title. NNAWG makes the registering and titling of a salvage vehicle easy. We have our sales and administrative staff that will advise you with any difficulties that may arise, and help assure you in your decision for purchasing the vehicle.

Things to consider:

  1. For vehicles 6 years and older DMV form VP-64 must accompany the regular registering and titling process. The VP-64 is a 3 part process that our sales person or administration staff will explain in detail.
  2. For vehicles 5 years and newer in addition to the VP-64 form there is a VP-209 form that must accompany the regular registering and titling process. The VP-209 is a 1 part process that our sales person or administration staff will explain in detail.

Don’t forget:

  1. The title document from NNAWG for your vehicle
  2. Sales invoice
  3. Completed form(s) (listed above, depending on the year of your car)
  4. Smog certification
  5. Proof of Insurance
